Pretence: I would come to baby sit that dear little girl Chloe and they would head out to for a couple of drinks and then Ted the movie.
Plan: once they left I would get ready and then venture out. Chloe's bag areadly packed by Emma: bottles, food (in a number of flavours), toys, flower for her head, blankets, nappies and what ever else little girls need on a night out with Mum and Dad.
And she was sleeping when they left.
Thank goodness!!
Seriously Mum's out there I have no idea how you do it... as all I had to do was get myself ready, put Chloe's jacket on, give her a bottle, put her in the pram and walk out the door and I was like "where did the last half hour go"!!
Then being the single girl I am, I dressed for a night out, just in case that is where the night took me. So my attire consisted of a ridiculously short black dress, black stockings, even more ridiculously high heel shoes and deep red lipstick.
So Chloe and I left the apartment, pram, baby, and BAGS (not just one evening bag) in tow... Brings you down a peg or two dressed like this, pushing a pram with a stunning little girl in it and a pure white flower on her head!!
And then there was the down hill overbridge we had to cross, the pram just wanted to go and the heels were screaming stop!!
After a fabulous dinner and hopefully an even more a nice surprise, the night a success.
But what preceed was not a night for those ridiculous heels and that tight black short dress, as I left everyone to celebrate the birthday in style and Chloe and I ventured home... a repeat episode of the walk to the restaurant but this time I had to push the pram up that BLOODY overbridge in those same ridiculous high heel shoes and a night of baby sitting (I do need to mention that looking after Chloe is a fantastic night in for me).
So to all you fabulous Mothers out there: I TAKE MY "SHOES" OFF TOO YOU!!
Hugs and cuddles from me, and to Paul I hope you had a wonderful birthday!! x
