From start to finish I was impressed by both the meal, the NZ wine, my dining partner.... and of course the food.
We decided to try seafood in Manly but as I am from New Zealand I am always a little weary of Sydney's (and surrounding suburb's) idea of fresh seafood but said yes lets try it out.
And thank goodness we did.
We started with Sashimi as a shared entree. A perfect choice that was complimented by our NZ Sauvignon Blanc, Saint Clair Wairau Reserve. A dish that included fresh snapper, tuna, salmon and kingfish, a couple of oysters and of course some wasabi, along with the normal soya and pickled ginger. Perfect.
Then the mains, we chose Barramundi and Twice Cooked Pork Belly - just delectable, tasty and along with the perfect decor, a recipe for the perfect night out that it was.
So to Whitewater, I was impressed from the moment I walked through the door, I loved the vibe, I felt that you wanted us there and from me to you, I will be back!!
And if your photos are anything to go by and after the dinner we had, I so regret not sampling dessert!
Thank you to my wonderful friend I was out with and to Whitewater, it is a night I will remember for a very long time.
