The Fruit
The Crumble
The Fruit - Simmer on a medium heat the fruit and water, until it thickens and some of the water has absorbed and the fruit is soft.
The Crumble - Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl. Melt enough butter to moisten the dry mixture. Stir through the honey and the chocolate bits.
Grease a dish, pour in fruit and then top with crumble.
Bake at 180 degrees until the crumble starts to change to a golden colour. Approx 40 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve. Serve with custard, ice cream or cream.
The chocolate chunks add an amazing addition of YUM to this easy winter dessert!
Try Feijoa... a very individual and interesting NZ fruit!
Enjoyed this creation during my trip back to NZ this year. xx
