We wanted a quick, easy and reasonably healthy dessert so this is what I thought up.
- Slice up any fruit you have and put raw into a baking dish, just over half fill the dish.
- I used apple, pear and some frozen raspberries and blueberries.
- In a separate bowl I combined opened cereal from the cupboard, Muesli and Oats (see attached picture below). Using sufficient to cover the fruit with a layer of around 2 centimetres.
- Pour in Maple Syrup, enough to combine but still a little crumbly, approximately half a cup (but to your taste)
- Empty the cereal over the earlier prepared fruit
- Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.
- Note; if no frozen food is used I add a couple of tablespoons of water 3 - 4 times during cooking so the fruit does not dry out and moisture is added.
- Serve hot from the oven with Custard poured over the top.... or Vanilla Ice cream.
